Moderation for Distribution groups

Messages are not delivered to the group until a moderator of the group has approved the message. A moderator will be notified each time a message is sent to the group.

All groups have moderation disabled by default. The  first feature you will immediately need to configure is the moderator(s) for the group. You can define multiple moderators, but you can assign only users (not groups) as moderators.

Note that moderation is not limited to groups; an administrator can also moderate email sent to mailboxes or mail contacts in the same way.


In the group Properties: Message Approval, tick the “Messages sent to this group have to be approved by a moderator” to enable the moderation. Then add the moderator in the Group moderators, add the exception person who can send the messages to the group without moderation.
