Remote user to Company LAN

 

Employees need to connect to the company LAN from outside or home? Remote Access VPN realizes virtual network cable from a Client PC to the LAN from anywhere and anytime.

Some extra points to address:

set the VPN hub and name, we will use this on the client side for connection.

Use L2TP server function (L2TP over IPsec)

set the IPsec PSKs: VPN(default)

After this, you need to allow the port 5555 through firewall.

Problem

Symptom: The connection is successful, but you can not open the shared folder in Domain.

Reason: This problem happens when you created user name on Virtual Hub, but the user name is not in the Active directory database, which leads to not enough privilege

Solution:network_drive

We can map a network drive and use different credentials, then use a domain user who have enough privilege to access the shared folder.
